Hi! I'm Sophia Fung. As a passionate president and founder of Project Awareness, I am driven to make all the positive differences I can through this nonprofit. I started this non-profit with a mission to encourage everyone to take initiative and responsibility for their impression on the world. I am responsible for the logistics and supervision of all Project After Awareness officers, ambassadors, members, events, and projects. I also oversee the Ambassador teams and design some of our products!
AAshi Singhani

Hey I'm Aashi and I'm so excited to be contributing to After Awareness! I'll mainly focus on the media parts of this project. I think this project can really make a difference and I hope that we can help many people and causes by taking action. I am responsible for assisting Sophia in major Project After Awareness events and work with Tarun to manage Project After Awareness' presence in the Media. With Tarun, I also lead the Media Ambassador Team.

Hello! My name is Tarun Yendrapati and I'm super excited to be part of After Awareness and our team! I'm the co-vice president and co-media team leader. We're going to have a lot of fun and hopefully make the change that our generation needs! I am responsible for assistance in Project After Awareness project logistics. I work with Aashi to manage Project After Awareness in the media and the Media Ambassador Team.

Hi I'm Radhika! I'm excited to make a difference in our community and world through After Awareness. I'll be mostly focusing on the communications and outreach aspect of our team. I've always been passionate about inspiring change and this is a great way to maximize the impact we can make :). I am responsible to formulating partnerships with other organizations by communicating professionally with them. I am also lead the Outreach Ambassador Team.
Shruti pai

My name is Shruti Pai. I am one of the members of After Awareness. In our current time, there are many complex issues facing our community. This project is very important to us because we need to find solutions to these issues fast. My job is to help others find our organization easily and get them interested. I also design many of our products. I am responsible for making Project After Awareness designs for many of our products and posts. I am in charge of leading the Graphic Design Ambassador Team.
How did this all begin?

How did Project After Awareness begin? In the summer of 2019, Sophia noticed that the youth population began to rise up in addressing world issues at an exponential rate. Whether this was from posting an informational post on Co2 emissions or protesting on the streets missing school, the youth population was becoming braver, louder, and better recognized. Sophia realized that not only herself and the teens protesting on the streets felt a responsibility to these issues, but also all her friends, classmates, and community had wondrous curiosities and passions to understand and tackle the complexities of these world issues.

So, why did it take so long for this teen revolution to ignite? With this strength also came those who came to silence their voices. The teen and youth populations are taught to believe that someone else will help, that it isn't my responsibility, and that I have no power. Only when these issues began to massively impact lives, is when the youth began to wake up and realize maybe I am responsible. That was it! We need a way to start conversations about these issues to the teen population. We were done being just aware and ready to understand and take action.

Thus, Project After Awareness was born from the idea that many world issues have gained effective awareness on the news, social media, in the classroom, but what was next? What is the next step to take on these issues? She decided that this project was dedicated to encouraging the youth and inspiring them to tackle these issues after awareness. Next, Sophia banded together a team of dedicated and talented individuals, Aashi, Tarun, Shruti, and Radhika, and got to business. Together, this team of officers was able to bring Project After Awareness to life by developing strategic goals, events, partnerships, and ideas. Now, almost a full year later, through challenges and hard work, Project After Awareness was able to grow in support, love, and dedication because of this team above.
